VIRAL VIDEO: Pakistanis shouldn't be inspired by India, says actress Mahira Khan
New Delhi: In a video that has gone viral on social media, Pakistani actress Mahira Khan can be seen taking a dig at India and Bollywood by saying that "Pakistanis shouldn't get inspired from India".
Mahira is making her Bollywood debut opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan in 'Raees' which is set to release on January 26, 2017.
"Aapko India se inspire nahi hona chahiye. Bilkul nahi. Hum Bollywood nahi hain (You should not get inspired from India. Not at all. We are not Bollywood)," she is heard saying.
The chat show she featured in was hosted by Pakistani comedian Omar Sharif and the clip is not from one of the recent episodes. Earlier this month, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan had met MNS chief Raj Thackeray at the latter's residence in Mumbai. The meeting assumed significance as Khan's upcoming film "Raees", which features Mahira. MNS has in the past objected to casting of Pakistani actors in Bollywood movies citing the neighbouring country's involvement in terrorist attacks in India.Views of our patriotic Raees's Pakistani co-actress Mahira Khan about India and Bollywood.
