Sandiip Kapur, who intends to produce the film, has shared an audio of his conversation with Manoj Bajpayee. "If the character and script are good, it will be fun to do play any real life character. The person (Vikas Dubey) you are talking about, his life has been dramatic. It will be interesting to bring his story to the big screen. Let's see what happens," Bajpayee said in the audio.
ABP News contacted Manoj Bajpayee to get a clarification on the same. Although, the ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ actor didn’t deny that it was his voice in the audio clip, he refuted the rumours of him doing a film based on Vikas Dubey’s life. “Wrong news,” Manoj replied in a text message.

When we asked the talented actor about the conversation between him and producer Sandiip Kapur, he said, “People are free to speculate whatever they want. I work according to the script and director and not speculations.”
We also got in touch with Sandiip Kapur, who said, “Yes, Manoj Bajpayee has given his approval to play the character of Vikas Dubey. However, he hasn’t signed the dotted lines. The audio is part of our conversation.”
Sandiip has worked with Manoj in ‘Jugaad’ and Sony LIV’s recent release ‘Bhosle’.
“It was my idea to make a film on Vikas Dubey. When I asked Manoj Bajpayee about playing the role of the gangster, the actor expressed his interest in the film and character. Manoj has said that if the film’s story is solid, he will think about working in the project. We are now focusing on writing the script of the film. We are also looking for a suitable person to direct the movie,” Sandiip exclusively told us.
