Mumbai: Hours after the demise of music composer and singer Wajid Khan, of Sajid-Wajid duo, a video of him singing Dabangg's title track from hospital bed went viral on various social media platforms. Khan breathed his last in the early hours of Monday at Surana Sethia Hospital in Chembur, Mumbai, after suffering from cardiac arrest following coronavirus complications. The 43-year-old also had kidney ailments.

It has been claimed that the video was recorded just a few hours before the music composer’s death and it is his last video.

However, a close relative of late Wajid Khan, seeking anonymity, said the video was shot at the same hospital at least six months ago.

The video was recorded at Surana Sethia Hospital in Chembur when Wajid was admitted for kidney transplant few months ago, the kin said.

According to sources, the woman seen behind him in the video is his sister-in-law (elder brother Sajid’s wife), Lubna, who had reportedly donated her kidney to save Wajid’s life.

Wajid suffered from kidney infections even after the kidney transplant. He was admitted to Surana Sethia Hospital a few months back. He contracted a throat infection, due to which he couldn't speak properly.  While undergoing treatment for kidney and throat infection, Wajid got infected with Coronavirus. He passed away due to COVID-19 and kidney related ailments .
