Thalaivi: Kangana Ranaut Pays Homage To Jayalalithaa On Her 3rd Death Anniversary

Kangana Ranaut, who will play the role of Jayalalithaa in 'Thalaivi', paid homage to the late politician on her third death anniversary.

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut will be seen playing the role of late former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in her biopic titled 'Thalaivi'. The 'Queen' actress on Thursday (December 5) paid homage to the actor-turned politician on her third death anniversary. The 'Manikarnika: Queen Of Jhansi' star was seen standing with folded hands in front of a garlanded picture of the late political leader on the sets of the film. Kangana Ranaut's team posted a picture from the sets along with the caption, "#KanganaRanaut who is all set to play  #Jayalalitha in the upcoming movie #Thalaivi paid her homage to the iron lady & observed a few minutes of silence on the sets of Thalaivi on the occasion of her death anniversary." Kangana looked beautiful as ever in a flowered checkered top and pants in the photo. Check it out! The makers of the much-awaited film unveiled the first look poster and teaser last month. Kangana is no leaving no stone unturned to give her best shot in the Jayalalithaa biopic. Rangoli Chandel had earlier shared a video in which Kangana was seen practicing Bharatnatyam in a traditional ensemble. Chandel wrote, "Beyond the fake glamour of showbiz this is what an artist workshop looks like, blood or sweat on battle field, various languages and accents or hours of practice to perfect one step... there is one truth to acting dissolution and SKILL." 'Thalaivi', which is being helmed by AL Vijay, will hit the silver screens on June 26, 2020.
On the professional front, Kangana will be next seen in the film 'Panga'. The Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari directorial is slated to release on January 24, 2020. Watch this space for more updates!
