‘Thalaivi’ Release Date Announced! Kangana’s Biographical Drama On Jayalalithaa To Hit The Screens On This Date
On the occasion of Jayalalithaa's birthday, Kangana Ranaut announced the release date of ‘Thalaivi’.
New Delhi: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s most-awaited upcoming movie ‘Thalaivi’ is all set to hit the theatre screens soon. This multilingual biographical film revolves around the life of the politician and film actress J. Jayalalithaa who served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The ‘Queen’ actress will be seen portraying the role of the protagonist in this upcoming movie.
Today, on the occasion of Jayalalithaa’s birthday, Kangana took to her official Twitter account and announced the release date of ‘Thalaivi’. ‘Thalaivi’ is all set to hit the big screens on April 23, 2021. Directed by A. L. Vijay, the film also stars Arvind Swami, Prakash Raj, Jisshu Sengupta and others in pivotal roles. ‘Thalaivi’ will also witness the ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ actress Bhagyashree portraying the role of J. Jayalalithaa’s mother.
The film was officially announced 2 years back on the actor-politician’s birthday on February 24, 2019. It was earlier slated for a theatrical release on June 26, 2020, but it got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. ‘Thalaivi’ will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Meanwhile, other than ‘Thalaivi’, Kangana will be seen starring in ‘Tejas’ and ‘Dhaakad’ next.
