Taapsee Pannu Hits Back At Kangana Ranaut, Says 'She Didn't Support Me When I Was Replaced In Pati Patni Aur Woh'
Taapsee Pannu said that Kangana Ranaut didn't support her when she was replaced in films like the way she is now standing for outsiders after Sushant Singh Rajput's demise.
New Delhi: Kangana Ranaut has been quite vocal about the treatment of outsiders in the Hindi film industry in the wake of Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise. The ‘Queen’ actress, while talking to a news channel, took potshots at the Bollywood biggies and accused them of trying to sabotage SSR’s career. She also said that the likes of Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhasker are likely to challenge their views on nepotism.

Kangana addressed Taapsee and Swara as ‘needy outsiders’ and ‘B-grade actresses’ which didn’t go down well with the two. Both Taapsee and Swara reacted sarcastically to the ‘Manikarnika’ actress’ remark.
Taapsee, who was last seen in ‘Badla’, shared an old video in which Kangana talked about the quota system. The clip went viral on the internet in no time. Fans were surprised to see two ‘outsiders’ fighting against each other on social media. Many users said that Kangana and Taapsee’s never-ending Twitter battle was diverting the attention from the main topics like nepotism and unfair treatment of outsiders in Bollywood.

Taapsee, while interacting a with a news channel, slammed Kangana and said that the ‘Panga’ actress never supported her when she was replaced in ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’.
“We all fight our own battles, Sushant was fighting his. I was replaced in Pati Patni Aur Woh, she didn’t come and support me, I didn’t ask for it also,” the ‘Badla’ actress told CNN-News 18.
‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’, which is the remake of the 1978 film of the same name, released last year. The movie featured Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pedneker and Ananya Panday.
When asked if she has ever lost films to stars kids, Taapsee told the news channel, “I did lose films to star kids. I've been replaced unprofessionally in the films I had spoken about. There are two ways - either you depend on the biggies to support you consistently and help you reach the position that you eventually want to, or you make one for yourself regardless of anyone supporting you or not. I decided to depend on myself. I choose to be 'atmanirbhar'. I made sure I got the kind of films I wanted to do and the path of my own.”
