Sushant Singh Rajput Death Mystery: The Bihar Assembly echoed today with the name of Sushant Singh Rajput alleged and all the MLAs of all the parties, in one voice, demanded CBI probe of the actor's death.


Niraj Kumar Singh, BJP MLA & relative of Sushant Singh Rajput, raised the issue of the actor's death in Bihar Assembly and said that the actor was "murdered", demanding a CBI investigation.

Raising the issue in the House, Neeraj Kumar Bablu, MLA, and brother of late Sushant Singh Rajput, said that the Maharashtra Police is not cooperating with Bihar Police which has gone to Mumbai to probe the alleged suicide case. He said that the investigation would not be carried out properly in such a situation.

He said, "The way in which Maharashtra Police misbehaved with Bihar Police is before the entire country." "The country has seen the way in which the Bihar police team was treated in Mumbai. When Bihar Police IPS officer Vinay Tiwari was sent to Mumbai for investigation, he was forcibly quarantined. It is clear that the investigation is not being done properly by Mumbai Police," he added.

The actor's cousin received support from the opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav in the assembly. He said that the RJD has been with Sushant Singh Rajput's family since the beginning.

Tejashwi Yadav also called for naming a film city coming up in Rajgir after Sushant Singh Rajput. the opposition has been continuously accusing Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of lack of initiative in pursuing the case of the actor.

Bihar govt ‘willing’ to recommend CBI probe into actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death

According to reports, the Bihar government is willing to order a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation into actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death if his family requests the state to do so. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has said he is open to recommending the CBI probe into Rajput's death if the actor's father wants it and requests the state government for it.

"The Chief Minister will definitely act if demand for a CBI inquiry comes from the family of Rajput," said Bihar minister Sanjay Kumar Jha, who's a close aide of Nitish Kumar, according to news agency PTI.

Tug of War between Bihar police and Mumbai Police

While Mumbai police started investigating the matter as soon as Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his apartment, Rajput's father had recently lodged an FIR against the late actor's alleged live-in partner Rhea Chakraborty and few others on charges of harassment, cheating, and abetment of suicide.

Following the FIR, the Bihar Police also sent a team to Mumbai to probe the case. However, the Bihar Police has alleged that Mumbai Police is not cooperating with the investigation.

The turf war between Bihar Police and Mumbai Police over the probe into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput took a more serious turn after the Bihar police chief accused Mumbai Police of "forcibly" quarantining an officer sent to Mumbai to lead the probe. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has reacted to the tussle, saying, "Whatever happened to him (the officer) is not right."

BMC reacted to the allegations and tweeted," Patna Superintendent of Police Binay Tiwari has been quarantined as per the present guidelines for domestic arrivals at Mumbai Airport."

According to reports, Mumbai Police have said that while they have offered full cooperation to the team from Patna, the Bihar Police team has not followed protocols and courtesies that are due while conducting investigations in the jurisdiction of another force, especially when there is an on-going investigation.
