Sui Dhaaga : Varun Dhawan REVEALS his character ‘Mauji’ is INSPIRED by Suppandi

Bollywood heartthrob Varun Dhawan is one of the most sought after actors in the Hindi film industry. The Judwaa 2 star will soon be seen alongside Anushka Sharma in Sharat Katariya’s 'Sui Dhaaga'. The movie from the stable of Yash Raj Productions has been making waves ever since the first looks of Anushka and Varun were unveiled. Dhawan, whose last release was 'October', is playing the character of a tailor and office peon in 'Sui Dhaaga'. During the launch of Amish Tripathi’s book Suheldev & the Battle of Bahraich in Mumbai, the 'Badlapur' actor revealed that his character Mauji from Sui Dhaaga is inspired from the comic character Suppandi. Suppandi is regarded as one of the most famous characters appearing in the Tinkle comics.

Sui Dhaaga is slated to release on September 28, 2018, days ahead of Gandhi Jayanti.
