New Delhi: Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer 'Stree 2'  is getting a better day everyday at the box office. Already surpassing the lifetime collection to more than twice of what the first part, 'Stree', earned, collecting some Rs. 130 cr during its theatrical run, 'Stree 2' has doubled its fugure in seven days. 


Amar Kaushik's directorial colected Rs. 20 cr on Wednesday. The film is doing exceptionally well on working days, which follow after an extended holiday weekend. 'Stree 2' has so far collected Rs. 275. 35 cr as per industry tracker Sacnilk.


Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the film's business on his official Instagram handle and wrote, "#Stree2 is proving to be an UNSTOPPABLE FORCE at the #BO... The remarkable hold on the traditionally slower weekdays - particularly Tue and Wed - highlights the immense power and popularity of well-made desi entertainers.”

As per the trade analyst, the film is nearing Rs. 300 cr and has already collected Rs. 289 cr.


'Stree 2' has also emerged as the second-highest grossing Indian film of 2024 so far, with a gross collection of Rs. 370 cr worldwide. 'Stree 2' is now trailing behind 'Kalki 2898 AD', which has grossed more than Rs. 1100 cr globally. 


 






On the international front, 'Stree 2' has left behind major titles of 2024 like 'Fighter', 'HanuMan' and 'Manjummel Boys'.


Post Thursday, 'Stree 2' is expected to finish its eight-day extended week by crossing the Rs. 300 cr benchmark and become a major film dominator at the box office. 


'Stree 2' released alongside Akshay Kumar's 'Khel Khel Mein' and John Abraham's 'Vedaa' outdid both films and continues its free run for the whole of September. Only two mid-budget films like Kangana Ranaut's 'Emergency' and Kareena Kapoor's 'The Buckingham Murders' is to release in September.
