The veteran actress was found unconscious at her hotel washroom and was immediately rushed to Rashid hospital in Dubai. However, the doctors confirmed that she passed away on the way to hospital, as per news reports. Although the details of her funeral are still not confirmed, reportedly her funeral will take place on Monday, a close family member confirmed to a news portal.

Soon after the post-mortem formalities are completed, a chartered plane belonging to a well-known industrialist from India will leave from Dubai this afternoon. The flight will land by 8 pm at the Mumbai airport following which, the body will be taken to Sridevi's residence, Hindustan Times reported. According to Navdeep Singh Suri, the Indian Ambassador to UAE, the 'police are engaged' with the forensic reports.
