Sonu Sood Mourns Demise Of 25-Year-Old COVID-19 Patient He Was Trying To Save

Sonu Sood shared a post to express his grief over the death of a 25-year-old boy. He revealed that the patient succumbed to COVID-19 on June 1.

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has emerged as a messiah for several people amid the COVID-19 crisis. From arranging medicines to admitting patients in hospitals, the ‘Dabangg’ star has left no stone unturned to provide help to the needy at a time when the entire country is grappling with the pandemic. The ‘Simmba’ actor, who has been actively using social media platforms to help the people, mourned the demise of a patient whom he was trying to save. 

Sonu shared a post on Twitter to inform others about a 25-year-old, who passed away on June 1 due to COVID-19. He said that he would speak to the doctor about the boy despite knowing that his chances of survival were minimal.

“25 years boy whom we were trying to save, lost his battle to covid today. All these days despite knowing that his survival chances of survival were minimal. l would speak to the doctor everyday with hope. Never had the guts to share the reality with his parents, who knew what was coming,” Sood tweeted. 

The ‘R Rajkumar’ actor also shared a health update about another patient, whom he saved. He said that the 29-year-old bodybuilder is in a critical condition at a hospital in Telangana.  

“When u lose someone, u wish u could save someone. Another 29 year young bodybuilder whom we saved is now critical in a hospital in Telangana. Spoke to the inconsolable sister for 20 mins and gave her hope. Feel very sad to see so much of sorrow around. God be kind,” he wrote on the micro-blogging site. 

Last month, Sonu announced that he would set up oxygen plants in Andhra Pradesh. The talented actor stressed on the importance of supporting rural parts of the country in his Twitter post.

On the professional front, Sonu will be next seen in YRF’s ‘Prithviraj’. The epic drama, which also stars Akshay Kumar, marks the Bollywood debut of former Miss World Manushi Chillar.  

Sood also has ‘Alludu Adhurs’, ‘Acharya’ and ‘Thamilarasan’ in his kitty.
