Sonu Nigam, who was recently seen as a judge on Indian Idol 9, has got into a fresh controversy on Monday over a Tweet that is going viral on social media.

The singer, who was woken up by the morning Azaan today, got on to Twitter and posted a rant against it. The popular playback singer wrote, "God bless everyone. I'm not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India."

He also added, "And by the way Mohammed did not have electricity when he made Islam.. Why do I have to have this cacophony after Edison?God bless everyone. I'm not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India
