On Saturday, she was shot dead by her brother, reported local media . Qandeel, who is popular for posting bold videos and statements on Facebook, was shot dead by her brother, reported Dawn News. Qandeel’s brother had been threatening her over her Facebook posts and videos, police reportedly said. Her father informed the police about the killing to the police. Initial reports suggest the actor cum model was shot dead by her younger brother. However, conflicting reports claimed she was strangled to death. Media reports say she was under severe pressure from her brothers to quit modelling and acting. The social media sensation had earlier claimed she was receiving death threats and had sought security which reportedly wasn’t provided. She was staying in the native town since a day before Eidul Fitr, reports said. “I know I will not be provided security and I am not feeling secured here so have decided to move abroad with my parents after Eidul Fitr,” Qandeel had told The Express Tribune.   More details are awaited
