'This Is One Film Where...': Shahid Kapoor Reveals Mira Rajput Wanted Their Kids To Watch Jab We Met
Shahid Kapoor's wife Mira Rajput sent their children to see Kareena Kapoor starrer 'Jab We Met'.
New Delhi: Shahid Kapoor has stated that he dislikes the idea of having his kids watch his films. However, Shahid's wife Mira Rajput sent their children to see 'Jab We Met'. He explained in an interview why she chose that movie for Misha and Zain Kapoor.
For a brief time in February of this year, the 2007 movie with Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor as the main characters was re-released in theatres. As part of the Valentine's Week 2023 extravaganza, PVR Cinemas organised the screening of the movie.
In a recent interview with Instant Bollywood, Shahid mentioned that his children watched 'Jab We Met'. “I don’t like them seeing me much. So, first day their first question was 'Why do people come up to you?' Because they hadn’t seen much of my work. Now, recently they just saw Jab We Met. It had come out in theatres. So, my mom took them to see it and Mira wanted them to go and see it. She was like 'This is one film where you are not like hitting people and doing all this intense stuff. It is a family viewing kind of film, so I want them to go and see it'. So, that actually, I think the first film of mine that they saw,” the actor said.
Imtiaz Ali directed the romantic drama comedy 'Jab We Met'. In the movie, Shahid plays the role of Aditya, a wealthy businessman who boards a train without thinking about its destination and meets Geet (Kareena Kapoor Khan), a fellow passenger, who changes his perspective on life.
On the work front, Shahid Kapoor was last seen in Raj and DK's web series, 'Farzi'. He portrayed an artist who goes on to create forgeries of banknotes. Shahid Kapoor will be next seen in the OTT release 'Bloody Daddy'. The film also features Diana Penty, Sanjay Kapoor, Ronit Roy, and Rajeev Khandelwal in key roles. 'Bloody Daddy' is said to be the official adaptation of the 2011 French film 'Nuit Blanche'. The film also marks the first collaboration between Shahid Kapoor and director Ali Abbas Zafar.
