New Delhi: Shahid Kapoor created quite an impressive OTT debut after his performance in 'Farzi' on Prime Video. The actor, who has been exploring the OTT space, will soon be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar's 'Bloody Daddy' which will also be released on an OTT platform. After the success of 'Kabir Singh' in 2019, it had been widely reported that Shahid had hiked his fee and even charged Rs. 40 crores for 'Bloody Daddy'.
When asked the same question about his fee hike at the 'Bloody Daddy' trailer launch, Shahid appeared shocked and jokingly asked the scribe to give him that amount of money and he will do his film. FIlmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar also joked and added, "You said less."
Shahid Kapoor was also asked if the makers were able to get an OTT deal that matched their budget to which he said, "Nahi sir, humne sabko bhade mein leke Jio ko free mein de diya picture."
As per the makers of the film, the streaming platform paid them whatever was essential for the film. Shahid also added, " Acha Dekho, yaha pe jo teen log baithe hai, kya hum dukhi lag rahe hai?( Are the three people sitting here looking unhpapy to you)Are we looking unhappy, please tell us.Mathematics pe matt ghuso."
At the 'Bloody Daddy' trailer launch, Shahid Kapoor also shared how the idea of the film developed to provide the big screen experience on an OTT platform.
'Bloody Daddy' also features Diana Penty, Sanjay Kapoor, Ronit Roy, and Rajeev Khandelwal in key roles.
'Bloody Daddy' is said to be the official adaptation of the 2011 French film 'Nuit Blanche'.The original has also been adapted as a Tamil-language film led by Kamal Haasan titled 'Thoonga Vanam' in 2015. The film also marks the first collaboration between Shahid Kapoor and director Ali Abbas Zafar.
