New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan recently disclosed that due to his commitments to the Indian Premier League over the past few months, he plans to commence shooting for his next film in July-August. A new video has surfaced, sparking excitement among his fans as they speculate that the actor is gearing up for his upcoming project, reportedly titled 'King'.

SRK fans spot 'King' Script

A fan club of Shah Rukh shared a video on X showcasing Shah Rukh praising the acclaimed cinematographer and his 'Asoka' (2001) director, Santosh Sivan, after the latter was honored with the prestigious Pierre Angenieux ExcelLens in Cinematography at the 77th Cannes Film Festival last week. Speaking from his office, Shah Rukh reminisced about his collaboration with Santosh. However, despite Shah Rukh's heartfelt words, his eagle-eyed fans' attention seemed to be focused elsewhere.

Some X users keenly observed that the script of 'King,' Shah Rukh Khan's next film, could be seen on the table next to his chair in the video. One user commented, “King script ready hai bhai (fireworks emojis),” while another wrote, "Anyone Notice King Scriptd Book?" A third user chimed in, saying, “Ready For King (crown and fire emojis).”

According to reports, 'King' will mark Shah Rukh Khan's return to portraying an infamous don. While he may not be reprising his iconic role in Farhan Akhtar's 'Don 3' (with Ranveer Singh reportedly taking over), Shah Rukh will make a comeback in a grey character in 'King.' Interestingly, the film will also serve as the theatrical debut for his daughter Suhana Khan. Suhana made her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar's coming-of-age period film 'The Archies' on Netflix India last year. In 'King,' she will share the screen with her father, playing a character mentored by his.
