Shah Rukh Khan Donates 2000 PPE Kits In Chhattisgarh For COVID-19 Warriors: ‘Trying in Whatever Capacity To Help Our Brothers And Sisters’

Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Bhagel took to his social media and thanked Shah Rukh Khan for his humble gesture.

New Delhi: The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has seen many losses of lives including that of the frontline workers. With the rising number of cases per day, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has lent out his helping hand for the COVID-19 warriors of Chhattisgarh . The ‘Don’ actor has donated 2000 PPE kits through his NGO ‘Meer Foundation’. Singh Deo took to his Twitter and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to SRK for protecting the frontline warriors. The minister’s tweet read, “I express my heartfelt gratitude to @iamsrk & @MeerFoundation for providing PPE kits to protect our frontline warriors. Thanks @rajshriartist for connecting us and making this possible. Your generosity has inspired many more to protect our healthcare heroes.”
Retweeting the same, the ‘DDLJ’ actor wrote, “Sir, We all are trying in whatever capacity we can to help our brothers and sisters to overcome these hard times. Wishing you the best with these endeavors too.” T.S Singh Deo replied to Shah Rukh Khan’s tweet and wrote, “Thank you Shahrukh Sahab for your kind thoughts which always resonate through your philanthropy. Chhattisgarh and India is proud of the support you have extended in these testing times.”
Chief Minister of Chattisgarh Bhupesh Bhagel also took to his social media and thanked the humanitarian actor his humble gesture. His tweet read, “सुप्रसिद्ध बॉलीवुड अभिनेता शाहरुख खान द्वारा संचालित एनजीओ मीर फाउंडेशन ने कोविड 19 से लड़ाई के लिए छत्तीसगढ़ को 2 हजार पीपीई किट्स उपलब्ध कराएं हैं। इस बड़ी लड़ाई में मीर फाउंडेशन के इस योगदान के लिए मैं शुक्रिया अदा करता हूं। (The Meer Foundation, an NGO run by renowned Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, has provided 2,000 PPE kits to Chhattisgarh for fighting COVID-19. I thank the Meer Foundation for extending their helping hands in this big fight.)”
On the professional front, the ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ actor was last seen in ‘Zero’ and is yet to announce his next movie. Reportedly, he has signed up for a cameo in ‘Brahmastra’ and is also set to join hands with Rajkumar Hirani.
