SRK, Deepika Padukone & John Abraham Starrer 'Pathan' To Hit Silver Screens In 2022?

Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Pathan’ has been making waves ever since it was announced that the Bollywood superstar would play the lead role in the film. SRK’s last release ‘Zero’ hit the silver screens in December 2018. The romantic comedy drama co-starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma couldn’t perform at the box office as per expectations. King Khan’s ardent fans have been eagerly waiting to see their favorite actor on the big screen.

Speculations were rife that ‘Pathan’ would release during Diwali 2021. It was said that Yash Raj Films are eyeing a release during the festival of lights. If a recent report in Filmfare is to be believed, the action drama is likely to hit the cinema halls during the first quarter of 2022. Yes, you read that right!

The report in the leading magazine suggested that the YRF is looking to release ‘Pathan’ at a later date as the cast and crew are currently busy shooting for the much-awaited flick.

Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a different avatar in ‘Pathan’ along with Deepika Padukone. Although the makers have managed to keep the details under wraps, gossip mills suggest that John Abraham will play the main antagonist in the film.

Salman Khan will be seen in a special appearance in ‘Pathan’. The ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ actor confirmed his cameo while hosting ‘Bigg Boss 14’. He revealed that he would start shooting for the film after the culmination of the popular reality show.

YRF announced the release dates of several upcoming films including ‘Prithviraj’, ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ and ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’. Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Prithviraj’ will entertain the audience on Diwali 2021 as it will release on November 5. The period drama will mark the Bollywood debut of Manushi Chillar, who was crowned Miss World 2017.It also features Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood.

Talking about ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’, the Ranveer Singh starrer will release on August 27, 2021. The movie also stars Shalini Pandey, who played the female lead in ‘Arjun Reddy’.
