Shabana Azmi Injured In Car Accident On Mumbai-Pune Expressway

Veteran actress Shabana Azmi got injured after her car rammed into a truck on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

New Delhi: In an unfortunate turn of events, veteran actress Shabana Azmi met with a severe accident after her car rammed into a truck. The car took accident took place near Khalapur toll plaza on Mumbai-Pune Expressway, according to a report in ANI. The 'Neerja' actress has been admitted to MGM hospital Panvel, where she is undergoing treatment. The incident took place around 3.30 pm near Khalapur, over 60 km from Mumbai when the car in which she was traveling rammed into a truck, said Raigad Superintendent of Police Anil Paraskar told ANI

The report further stated that Javed Akhtar was also present in the car. He escaped unhurt. Their vehicle was hit by a truck while they were travelling from Pune to Mumbai.
