Sandalwood Drug Scam: CCB Raids Sanjjanaa Galrani's Residence; Kannada Actress Arrested For Further Investigation

CCB obtained a search warrant from Court to raid Kannada actress Sanjana Galrani's house in connection with the Sandalwood Drug Scam.

New Delhi: Amid the ongoing probe into the drug angle in death case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, several allegations have been made about use of narcotics in high-end parties of actors, celebs in the film industry. Along with the Bollywood fraternity, now the south film industry has also come under the scanner of the Government of India over the alleged drug links. Kempe Gowda & Ragini IPS Actor's Bengaluru Home Searched The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bengaluru probing the drug abuse in the Kannada film industry has made another important arrest. After Ragini Dwivedi, the CCB, which is investigating the drug menace in the 'Sandalwood', raided the Indira Nagar residence of famous Kannada actress Sanjana Galrani on Tuesday morning. According to the reports, the agency obtained a search warrant from Court to raid the actress's house in connection with the drugs conspiracy, and later took her into custody for further investigation. She was recently seen in Paras Chhabra and Shehnaaz Gill's show 'Mujhse Shaadi Karoge.' The development has come just a few days after the central team arrested famous actress Ragini Dwivedi in the case in addition to 11 others named in an FIR filed at the Cottonpet police station. According to the reports, Dwivedi has been remanded to police custody till September 11. Meanwhile, the police have arrested Ravi, who is supposed to be close to people in the Kannada film industry. The court has also sent him to police custody for five days in connection with the drug menace. The sandalwood industry drug scandal came to the limelight after filmmaker and journalist Indrajit Lankesh in a statement to the CCB revealed about drug abuse in Sandalwood and claimed that at least 15 people in the industry were involved in the drug trade.
