Salman Khan’s BIG REVELATION! 'Was DEVASTATED that Priyanka Chopra is not BHARAT’

New Delhi: Just when we thought that Priyanka Chopra-Bharat fiasco is over, we just got a little more enlightened by our Bollywood’s bhaijaan, Salman Khan.Weeks after Priyanka Chopra quit ‘Bharat’, Salman Khan has made a huge revelation about it. He revealed that Priyanka was initially signed for the role because she requested director Ali Abbas Zafar that she be cast in the film. Talking to BT, Salman said, “It must have been very difficult for her to make this decision because she was very keen to work on this project. She has called up Arpita a thousand times, saying, 'I want to work with Salman'. She has even called up Ali (Abbas Zafar) and told him, 'See if you can get me something in this film. Atul and baby's (Salman's sister Alvira Khan's) first choice was Katrina. But since Ali and Priyanka have worked together, Ali wanted to work with her, because she told Ali that she wanted to work in the film."” Talking about how he felt when he first came to know about Priyanka’s exit, Salman told DNA, “We were destroyed that she is not doing Bharat, we were devastated (he says placing his hand on his heart with a impish smile), but we had to handle it, and we did. (On a serious note) No, she had a genuine problem at that point of time, but it’s just that we should have known it slightly earlier. But I am sure it’s okay, hope that film (with Chirs Pratt) works out for her. She has got engaged and I am really happy. Arpita (Khan Sharma, his sister) had gone for the engagement.” ALSO READ: Bharat: Director Ali Abbas Zafar shares another gorgeous picture of Katrina Kaif!  Salman Khan also said that he and his team was ready to adjust the dates according to Priyanka’s schedule but actress was clear that she didn’t wanted to do the film. He also said that he isn’t angry with Priyanka but just sad that film didn’t happen with her. On a related note, some days back Katrina and Salman’s some stills came out from the shoot of ‘Bharat’ and we have to say that they looked so damn good together. Bharat also stars Tabbu, Nora Fatehi, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover in prominent roles.
