Mumbai: In his career of 32 years, Bollywood actor Salman Khan has portrayed almost all kinds of roles on-screen including action, romance, comedy, family film and others. Salman has, however, never featured in a biopic. So, director Rajkumar Gupta has reportedly signed the ‘Tiger 3’ actor for his upcoming biopic. Salman Khan is all set to play the role of Indian spy Ravindra Kaushik, popularly known as Black Tiger in the upcoming Rajkumar Gupta film.
According to a report of PinkVilla, this upcoming film of Rajkumar Gupta is an action thriller, which is based on an unbelievable true story of Ravindra Kaushik, who was India's best spy to date. Kaushik is also known as the ‘Black Tiger’. Rajkumar Gupta has been doing research on his life for the last 5 years and finally, he has prepared a script. This screenplay does justice to the achievements and legacy of Ravindra Kaushik. As he narrated the script to Salman Khan, the actor readily agreed to be a part of this film. Reportedly, this is one of the most shocking stories in the history of Indian intelligence.
This film will be a dramatic thriller with tremendous action. This will be the first time that Salman Khan will work in a biopic. Apart from researching the life of Ravindra Kaushik, the team of Rajkumar Gupta has also done research to recreate the era of the 70s and 80s.
Earlier in 2012, director Kabir Khan's film 'Ek Tha Tiger' was said to be based on the life of Ravindra Kaushik but later it was clarified that this film is fictional. Rajkumar Gupta is known for films like 'Aamir', 'No One Killed Jessica', 'Ghanchakkar' and 'Raid'. This upcoming film is being told as his favourite project and is being planned on a large scale.
Salman Khan will soon start shooting for 'Tiger 3' with Katrina Kaif. After this, he will work on Sajid Nadiadwala's film 'Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali' later this year. Salman Khan was seen with Disha Patani in the recently released film 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai'.
