The chaos amongst the people and the situation in Afghanistan is getting so worse that people are willing to leave everything and run away. The condition of the women and children in the country after Taliban’s invasion has been horrible. Many celebrities have reacted on social media about the situation of unrest in Afghanistan and prayed for the citizens who are still residing in the country. While celebrities have been expressing their displeasure over the situation, Salman Khan seems to have a special connection with Afghanistan.
Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan who enjoys a huge fan following in India has a very special connection with Afghanistan. Bhaijaan Salman Khan is basically Afghani as his great-grandfather Anwar Khan had fled from Afghanistan and settled in Bhopal. He also served in the cavalry of the British Indian Army. Salman’s grandfather Abdul Rashid Khan was a Deputy Inspector General of Indore. His father Salim Khan is a well-known writer in the industry.
Though Salman Khan's ancestors were the Alakozai Pashtuns, he has been brought up following both the Muslim and Hindu customs. Salim Khan married Sushila Charak i.e. Salma Khan who is actually Dogra Rajput.
There has been no dearth of Hindi cinema fans in Afghanistan. Their love for Bollywood is so much that the people of Afghanistan learnt Hindi just by watching Bollywood films.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Salman Khan will be next seen featuring in ‘Tiger 3’, ‘Antim: The Final Truth’, ‘Pathan’ and ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’.
