New Delhi: Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Netflix series 'Sacred Games' has gathered a lot of appreciation. But with appreciation, controversy came hand in hand to them. A plea was filed in the Delhi High Court seeking removal of certain scenes from the Netflix series 'Sacred Games', claiming that some of its content was derogatory to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. The plea, which alleged that certain scenes and dialogues in the show defamed the late Congress leader, was first mentioned earlier in the day before a bench of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C Hari Shankar, which allowed it to be listed sometime later. According to ANI’s tweet, Delhi High Court said that actors cannot be held responsible for the dialogues in the show. It also mentioned that nothing new will be added to the show. Check out this tweet: Also, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi said the BJP and the RSS believe that freedom of expression must be policed, while he regards it as a fundamental democratic right. My father lived and died in the service of India. The views of a character on a fictional web series can never change that, Rahul Gandhi said on Twitter. Reacting to Rahul Gandhi’s tweet, filmmaker and co-director of the web series, Anurag Kashyap said ‘That’s a yay’.
