‘Roohi’ Box Office Report: Audience Liking Rajkummar Rao-Janhvi Kapoor’s Chemistry

Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starrer 'Roohi' is getting a good response from the audience. The film did a business of Rs 3.42 crore on the third day. Read on.

New Delhi: ‘Roohi’ is one of the major releases in theatres post lockdown. The film stars Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles. Well, ‘Roohi’ is doing well at the box office and it has done a busines of Rs 8.72 crores till now after it hit the theatres on March 11, 2021. The movie was earlier supposed to release last year in the month of June, but got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Though the film has not been receiving the response as expected but the business it has been doing in this time of COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown, is considered as fair one. ‘Roohi’ earned a decent amount of Rs 3.6 crores in its opening day.

‘Roohi’ did a business of Rs 2.25 crores on the second day of its release. And after this, the business of the film underwent a little boom on Saturday as it did a business of Rs 3.42 crores on the third day if its release. In total, ‘Roohi’ has done a business of Rs 8.72 crores in three days. It has been conjectured that the film will do good business on Sunday as well considering it to be a weekend.

‘Roohi’ has been released on 2000 screens all over the country. SFO of Jio Studio Priyanka said, “We are very happy that audiences across India are responding with so much love and positivity. This is a big milestone for the film industry. Jio Studio is feeling proud to be a changemaker.”

Meanwhile, other than Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, ‘Roohi’ also stars Varun Sharma in a pivotal role. This film has been directed by Hardik Mehta and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films.
