Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar shared a heartfelt post for Rohit Shetty, who turned a year older on Sunday (March 14). Khiladi Kumar posted a picture with his ‘Sooryavanshi’ director and wished him ‘an action-packed year ahead.’ The ‘PadMan’ star also revealed the reason why he was able to form a bond with the talented filmmaker.

Akshay said that their common passion for action brought them together. He shared the picture along with the caption, “It was easiest to bond with @itsrohitshetty because we shared one common passion which brought us together: Action! Happy birthday Rohit, wishing you an action-packed year ahead.”

The makers of ‘Sooryavanshi’ have finally announced the release date of the film on Rohit Shetty’s 48^th birthday.  Akshay took to social media to inform the fans that his much-awaited flick would hit the silver screens on April 30, 2021.

The ‘Rustom’ star shared a promotional video along with the caption, “Sooryavanshi : Because A Promise Is A Promise. We promised you all a cinematic experience and that’s what you will get...the wait is finally over! Aa Rahi Hai Police #Sooryavanshi releasing worldwide in cinemas on 30th April 2021.”

‘Sooryavanshi’ was originally slated to release on March 22, 2020. The makers had to postpone the release of the film due to the COVID-19 crisis. Speculations were rife that the action drama would arrive in the cinema halls on April 2. The producers have finally put an end to the rumours by announcing the release date of ‘Sooryavanshi’.

The highly anticipated flick also stars Katrina Kaif, Gulshan Grover and Jackie Shroff in key roles. Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh will be seen reprising their respective roles in ‘Singham’ and ‘Simmba’ in ‘Sooryavanshi’.

Ajay also wished Shetty on social media by sharing a picture with him. He wrote, “Always wish the best for you... You’ve been there for me, steady & rock solid.”

The duo has worked in films like ‘Golmaal’, ‘Golmaal Returns’, ‘Golmaal 3’, ‘Singham’, ‘Singham Returns’ and ‘Bol Bachchan’.
