Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani Song What Jhumka: Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh Dance To This Party Track

Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh's new song 'What Jhumka' is given a new twist from Asha Bhosle's ‘Jhumka Gira Re’.

Second single from ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ is out now.

New Delhi: After the release of the love song ‘Tum Kya Mile’, the second single from ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ was out on Wednesday. The song, titled ‘What Jhumka,’ features Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh dancing to the music of Asha Bhosle's classic ‘Jhumka Gira Re.’ The dance was choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, while the lyrics were written by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Arijit Singh and Jonita Gandhi have sung ‘What jhumka;. Madan Mohan and Pritam composed the song. 

In the music video, Rocky, played by Ranveer, wears a denim jacket with orange stars emblazoned on it and matching trousers with a white vest, while Rani, played by Alia, dons a bright-coloured saree. 

The creators, for a change, did not just remake an existing song. The song's only been utilised up until the conclusion when Alia and Ranveer break into a dance to the chorus. A few words from Mera Saaya's timeless ‘Jhumka Gira Re’ were given a new twist in this song.

Dropping the new song, director Karan Johar wrote,  "The biggest (jhumka) drop of the season - What Jhumka out now. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, in cinemas on 28th July."

Meanwhile, the first song 'Tum Kya Mile' was filmed in Kashmir. The romantic duet features Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. While Alia wears beautiful chiffon sarees, Ranveer dresses in glitzy outfits. The song was written by Pritam and features vocals by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal.

'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' also stars Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, and Dharmendra in major roles in addition to Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. The film is set to release in theatres on July 28.
