Riteish Deshmukh Remembers Late Father Vilasrao Deshmukh On His 75th Birth Anniversary, Shares Heartwarming VIDEO

Riteish Deshmukh imagined hugging his late father Vilasrao Deshmukh on politician's 75th birth anniversary in a heartwarming TikTok video.

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh remembered his late father and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh on his 75th birth anniversary on Tuesday (May 26). The ‘Housefull 4’ actor shared a heartwarming TikTok video on his official Instagram handle, making the fans emotional. Riteish can be seen looking at his dad’s clothes that were hung on a hanger. The ‘Ek Villain’ star put his hand through the sleeves of the kurta and imagined himself hugging his father.

“Happy Birthday PAPPA..... Miss you everyday!! #vilasraodeshmukh75.” Riteish Deshmukh wrote while sharing the video on social media. The song ‘Abhi Mujh Me Kahin’ song played Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Agneepath’ played in the background. Check out the video!

Riteish's wife Genelia D'Souza also paid respect to her father-in-law by sharing a picture of his statue. She wrote, "Riaan’s teacher asked him “What are you most proud of” .. His answer was. “My Ajoba”.. You are our pride Pappa.. We feel your presence everyday and know that you are looking after us wherever you are.. You live in us and we celebrate you every single day. Happy Birthday Pappa. #VilasraoDeshmukh75."

Veteran actor Shatrughan tweeted, "Prayers & tributes to the two time frm CM, Maharashtra, & frm Union Cabinet minister, our very dear friend, late & great #VilasraoDeshmukh on his birth anniversary. He was a true son of the soil &  an able administrator, having held several portfolios effectively."

"He is remembered for his kind & helpful nature. He was admired for his qualities in #Maharashtra/ India.His sons @AmitV_Deshmukh @MeDeshmukh & his wonder actor  @Riteishd are following his vision ahead. Profound love & regards to his family. Birth Anniversary," Sinha further wrote on the micro-blogging site.

Riteish replied back to Sinha's tweet and said that his father was extremely fond of the 'Vishwanath' actor. He wrote, "Dearest Sir, @ShatruganSinha your words mean a lot to us. My father was extremely fond of you and always valued your opinion. He used to fondly tell me the days spent in Pune in late 60s/70s. Love & respect to you."

Vilasrao Deshmukh served as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 1999 to 2003 and 2004 to 2008. He passed away on August 14, 2012 due to multiple organ failure.

Talking about Riteish, the talented actor was last seen in 'Baaghi 3'. The film co-starring Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor couldn't enjoy a long run at the box office as the cinema halls were shut due to COVID-19 pandemic.
