Rishi Kapoor opens up on his treatment in the US: ‘Hopefully, will recover soon’

New Delhi: Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor left his fans worried when he announced that he was heading to the United States for medical treatment. His fans and well-wishers have been praying for the ‘102 Not Out’ actor since he tweeted that he was taking a short leave of absence from work. The ‘Kapoor & Sons’ actor didn’t reveal anything about his illness but requested the fans to not ‘unnecessarily speculate’. Rishi Kapoor couldn’t attend his mother Krishna Raj’s funeral as he was undergoing treatment in New York. His wife Neetu Kapoor has been a strong pillar of support for him. After months of silence, Rishi Kapoor has given an update regarding his health. The 66-year-old actor, while talking to an entertainment portal, opened up on his illness and treatment. “My treatment is on, hopefully I will recover soon and God willing I will return. The procedure is long and tedious and one needs immense patience which unfortunately is not one of my virtue,” Rishi told Bollywood Hungama. The talented actor, who was last seen in ‘Mulk’, also said that he had kept his professional life on hold at the moment. “Thankfully, I am not thinking about films anymore, just want to be blank and refresh myself with a more relaxed mind. This break shall be therapeutic for me,” Rishi told the portal. The report in the portal also suggested that if the treatment goes well, the actor will return back to Mumbai by April.
