New Delhi: Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor left for his heavenly abode on April 30 after a two-year long battle with leukemia. The ‘Mulk’ actor took his last breathe at Mumbai’s HN Reliance hospital. His sudden demise has left the industry and fans in a state of shock. The likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Kapoor paid homage to their favourite ‘Chintu’ on social media.


Rishi Kapoor’s daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni took to her Instagram story to thank the fans and industry people for their support during the tough time. She wrote, "Thank you everyone for your prayers and thoughts."

Riddhima travelled all the way from Delhi to Mumbai via road after the demise of Rishi Kapoor. She couldn’t attend her father’s funeral due to the Coronavirus lockdown but she face-timed with Alia Bhatt to catch the last glimpse of the ‘Bobby’ actor.

Riddhima had earlier shared a throwback photo of her dad Rishi Kapoor with his mother Krishna Raj Kapoor. The mother-son duo can be seen dancing together in the picture. She wrote, "Reunited with his most favourite person."

Riddhima had penned a heartfelt post after Rishi's death on Instagram. She wrote, "Papa I love you I will always love you - RIP my strongest warrior I will miss you everyday I will miss your FaceTime calls everyday! I wish I could be there to say goodbye to you ! Until we meet again papa I love you - your Mushk forever."



Neetu Singh, Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni hosted a prayer meet for Rishi Kapoor at their place on Sunday (May 3). The ‘Sanju’ actor immersed his father’s ashes at Banganga ghat and performed a puja. He was accompanied by Alia Bhatt and Ayan Mukerji.
