Mumbai: Bollywood actress Richa Chadha criticized her ‘Sarbjit’ co-star Randeep Hooda for making an offensive joke against former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati. The ‘Fukrey’ star shared two tweets to slam Hooda for his derogatory remark against the Bahujan Samaj Party leader.
Chadha called Hooda’s ‘casteist’, ‘sexist’ and ‘crass’ while responding to a user, who asked tagged her, Taapsee Pauu, Swara Bhasker in a tweet. The user asked the actresses if they would condemn the comment made by Randeep in the viral clip.

The ‘Masaan’ actress the user to explain why he asked the female celebs to apologize for their male colleagues.
"It's a despicable 'joke'. It's crass, tasteless and sexist." In a second tweet, she wrote, "Yes. It's casteist too. Also, plz explain to the reason why you continue to ask ONLY women to apologise for their male colleagues while you pontificate on sexism. Not holding my breath," she wrote while explaining her displeasure with the tweet.
Randeep Hooda has been facing the wrath of the fans ever since his nine-year-old from a media event re-surfaced on social media. The ‘Kick’ actor made a joke in a poor taste against the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.
Several netizens trended the hashtag ‘Arrest Randeep Hooda’ after his video went viral on Twitter. They asked the actor to apologise for his offensive remark against a woman.
Hooda was removed as the brand ambassador of Convention for the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) on Thursday (May 27) after his old clip went viral. The UN environmental treaty issued a statement to announce that the actor would no longer serve as a CMS ambassador.
"The CMS Secretariat finds the comments made in the video to be offensive, and they do not reflect the values of the CMS Secretariat or the United Nations," the statement read.
On the professional front, Hooda was recently seen in Salman Khan's 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai'. The film released on ZEEPlex and leading DTH operators on May 13, 2021.
