New Delhi: The untimely demise of Sushant Singh Rajput left his family, friends and fans in a state of shock. The talented actor, who made a successful transition from TV to cinema, passed away at the age of 34. Last week, the Supreme Court ordered a CBI probe into his death case, giving a relief to millions of fans and his family members, who actively demanded for a CBI investigation. Since the time, the investigative agency has taken over the reigns of the case from Mumbai Police, new revelations are coming out every day.

The Narcotics Control Bureau registered a case against Rhea Chakraborty under NDPS Act on Wednesday after the Enforcement Directorate requested the agency to probe the ‘drug angle’ in Sushant’s case.

Rhea Chakraborty, while talking to a news channel, said that Sushant was deeply upset with the #MeToo allegations against him. For the uninitiated, some reports in 2018 suggested that the ‘Raabta’ actor misbehaved with his ‘Dil Bechara’ co-star Sanjana Sanghi. The newbie actress had later squashed all the rumours of ‘misconduct’ on the film’s sets.

The ‘Chehre’ actress said that Sushant believed that someone was was behind the #MeToo allegations that spread like wildfire in 2018. She added that he also believed someone was after his co-star Sanjana, who made her solo Bollywood debut with the film.

“I feel the MeToo allegations are what started the pressure on him. He believed someone was behind it. He used to refer to people as "them". Don't know who they are. He believed someone is behind Sanjana Sanghi,” Rhea told NDTV.

Kangana Ranaut had even slammed Sanjana Sanghi for not speaking up on time when the allegations were made against Sushant. She asked why the actress took time to clarify the rumours, which grabbed a lot of attention in 2018.

‘Dil Bechara’ was Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film. The romantic drama premiered directly on Disney+ Hotstar on July 24. The Mukesh Chhabra directorial received a massive response on the OTT platform and reportedly broke several records.

‘Dil Bechara’ is the Hindi adaptation of John Green’s novel ‘The Fault in our Stars’.
