Rhea moved the Supreme Court, seeking the transfer of the FIR in Patna to Mumbai. Last week, the apex court dismissed her plea and ordered a CBI probe into the ‘Dil Bechara’ actor’s death case.
Rhea, while talking to a news channel, said that she had told the ‘Pavitra Rishta’ family about his depression and ‘yet they left him’. She also took a dig at Ankita Lokhande and said that she should have reached out to her to understand her situation.
“Ankita Lokhande was not a part of his life for the last four years. Do people not see through her lies? Even with Ankita, she did love him at some time, she should have reached out to me and understand what I am going through. What if this was happening to you? Would you still be a part of the witch-hunt?,” Rhea was quoted as saying by NDTV.
Ankita Lokhande has now reacted to Rhea’s allegations that Sushant was suffering from depression since a long time. She issued a statement on social media and said that ‘Sushant never had any conditions of depression when they were together’. She added that the 'Raabta' actor was totally fine and never visited any psychiatrist.

Ankita also revealed why is supporting Sushant's family in the matter. She added that SSR's family members have chats and proofs which can't be 'denied and overlooked'.
"So I still sticking on grounds of truth and accept that I have been standing on the family's side and not Rhea. In family's knowledge and understanding she is the one who persuaded him towards his end. And they have chats and proofs which can't be denied and overlooked too. So I heard the Family's side, stood by it, stick by it, till the end," Ankita said in her statement.

Sushant and Ankita fell in love on the sets of Ekta Kapoor's 'Pavitra Rishta'. Their break-up in 2016 surprised the fans as they were considered one of the most loved couples in telly land.
Ankita actively demanded for a CBI investigation in Sushant's case. The 'Manikarnika' actress, while exclusively talking to ABP News, said that Sushant couldn't commit suicide.
"Sushant was an over-dedicated person. He used to write down his dreams in a diary. He had written all his dreams in his personal diary and to our wonder, he achieved all of it within five years. Sushant was not so weak to commit suicide. I am sure something big was happening in his life which we don't know," she told us.
