The live-in partner of SSR, Rhea was arrested under various sections of the NDPS Act on Tuesday (September 8) after three consecutive days of interrogation. Later she was produced before a magistrate via video-conferencing.
The magistrate rejected her bail application. According to sources, the ‘Jalebi’ actress spent her night at NCB’s office in Mumbai. Earlier today, Rhea was taken to the Byculla Jail on Wednesday morning by Narcotics Control Bureau officials. The Byculla jail is the only prison for women inmates in Mumbai. Rhea will be in custody there till September 22.
The Narcotics Control Bureau has sought judicial custody of Rhea Chakraborty till September 21 in its remand application. The agency in its remand copy said that Rhea Chakraborty is an active member of drug syndicate and she used to procure drugs for late Sushant Singh Rajput.

Rhea has been charged with abetment in possession, sale, purchase, consumption, transportation of substances under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS). This constitutes prima facie offences under Section 20(b)/22/27/28/29 of the NDPS as per the Crime Information Report of the NCB.
