'Sherni Is A Must Watch': Randeep Hooda Lauds Vidya Balan's Film, Calls It 'Engaging'

Randeep Hooda praised Vidya Balan and director Amit V Masurkar for raising awareness about wildlife conservation.

Mumbai: Vidya Balan’s latest film ‘Sherni’, which premiered directly on a leading OTT platform on June 18, has received rave reviews from the critics. The thriller film has managed to create ripples following its release on Amazon Prime Video. Fans have showered Vidya Balan for delivering a blockbuster performance and playing the role of a forest officer with perfection. 

Randeep Hooda also lauded Vidya and director Amit Masurkar for making an ‘engaging’ film and depicting the challenges of Tiger conversation, which the country is facing. The ‘Radhe’ actor was all praises for Amit Masurkar, who earlier helmed Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Newton’.

“Sherni is a must watch. It’s engaging as a movie in itself and tops it with truthful depiction of Tiger conservation challenges facing us today.. after Newton Amit Masurkar again digs deep to give us a mirror to look into .. super performances all around,” Randeep tweeted. 

Dia Mirza also showered the makers with praises by offering something new on the platter. She wrote, "Jungle hain to baarish hain, baarish hain to paani hain, paani hain to hum hain!” - #SherniOnPrime. Thank you for telling this story."

Sherni Cast 

Sharat Saxena, Vijay Raaz, Ila Arun, Neeraj Kabi and Brijendra Kala played supporting roles in ‘Sherni’. The movie was produced by T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment. The cast and crew shot for the film in Bhoot Palasi in Delwadi forests amid the COVID-19 crisis. 

‘Sherni’ is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. 

Randeep Hooda's Upcoming Projects

On the professional front, the 'Kick' star has two exciting film in his kitty- 'Unfair & Lovely' and 'Rat On A Highway'. He will also be seen in a web series titled 'Inspector Avinash' opposite Urvashi Rautela. 

His last film 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai' premiered on May 13, 2021 on ZEEPlex and leading DTH platforms. The action drama starring Salman Khan and Disha Patani received over 4.2 million views across all platforms on its opening day.
