Ram Gopal Varma's new film 'Coronavirus' has been shot amid the COVID-19 lockdown in the country.
New Delhi: Coronavirus pandemic has wreaked havoc all across the world, claiming several lives. There were rumours that several producers have registered movie titles to make a film on the deadly virus. Bollywood filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who was trolled for saying that he tested positive for COVID-19, has now released the trailer of his Telugu film titled ‘Coronavirus’. The film focuses on the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown.
The ‘Rangeela’ actor shared the four minutes five seconds long trailer on Tuesday (May 26) evening. The upcoming movie has been completely shot amid the Coronavirus lockdown in the country. It focuses on story of a family in Hyderdabad amid the nationwide lockdown.
Varma took to Twitter to unveil the film’s trailer and reveal that the film was shot during the COVID-19 lockdown. He said that he wanted to prove that ‘no one can stop our work whether it's GOD or CORONA’.
"CORONAVIRUS is a film about the fears in all of us ..it TESTS the POWER of LOVE against the FEAR of DISEASE and DEATH," Ram Gopal Varma wrote in another tweet.
‘Coronavirus’, which has been directed by Agasthya Manju, stars Srikanth Iyengar in lead role. You can't help but notice the horror movie set up in the trailer. The father became worried after he saw his daughter coughing profusely. Her cough will definitely give you the chills. Check out the film’s trailer right here!
Although, the makers have claimed that it is the 'world's first film based on Coronavirus,' Canadian director Mostafa Keshvari has already made a movie on the subject in April 2020.
