New Delhi: Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s father Jagdish Patani has tested positive for COVID-19. The ‘Baaghi 2’ actress’ father is a deputy SP in the vigilance unit of the state power department in Bareilly. Patani and two more officers of the unit of the Uttar Pradesh power department have tested positive for novel Coronavirus.

Jagdish Patani and the two other officers, who came to Bareilly from Lucknow, have been infected with COVID-19, Additional CMO Ashok Kumar told PTI.

On the occasion of Father's Day 2020, Disha had shared a picture with her father on Instagram. She wrote, "Love you my superhero," followed by a heart emoji.



Talking about Disha Patani, the leggy lass was last seen in ‘Malang’, which released earlier this year. The ‘Bharat’ actress will be next seen in ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ opposite Salman Khan. The film was slated to hit the silver screens on Eid 2020. However, it couldn’t release on its scheduled date as the cinema halls were shut due to COVID-19 crisis.



Singer SP Balasubramaniam has also tested positive for COVID-19. He shared a video from hospital and said that he had fever and cold and hence, he got himself tested. Doctors recommended him to observe home quarantine after his reports came out as positive. However, the veteran playback singer decided to admit himself to the hospital to safeguard his family members.



Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachcha, who tested positive for novel Coronavirus last month, was recently discharged from Mumbai's Nanavati hospital after his recent reports came out as negative. Big B took to Twitter to inform the fans about the same.

" I have tested CoVid- have been discharged. I am back home in solitary quarantine. Grace of the Almighty, blessings of Ma Babuji, prayers & duas of near & dear & friends fans EF .. and the excellent care and nursing at Nanavati made it possible for me to see this day," the 'Gulabo Sitabo' actor wrote on the micro-blogging site.
