New Delhi: In a major development in late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s case, the Centre accepted Bihar government’s recommendation for a CBI probe into the matter. CBI has received a notification from the government and the agency will take up the investigation in the ‘Dil Bechara’ actor’s case. On Wednesday (August 5), Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed the Supreme Court that the Centre had accepted Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government’s request for a CBI enquiry. Fans expressed their happiness on social media after the news circulated on the internet.

Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti also expressed gratitude and called it a ‘Raksha Bandhan gift’. She hailed Centre’s decision to allow a CBI investigation into her brother’s case.

Sushant’s sister Shweta sees a divine connection in the fact that the day CBI probe was ordered into the death of the ‘Pavitra Rishta’ actor is the same as one when the historic Bhumi Pujan was performed in Ayodhya.

She said that her family is a step closer to finding the truth behind her brother’s death after the CBI investigation was allowed in the case.

Shweta shared another post on Twitter and saluted the fans, who 'fought for justice' in Sushant's case.

"CBI Enquiry is the answer to the prayers of the whole nation who stood together as a family and kept fighting for justice. I Salute each and every one of you. #Strengthandunity #GodIsWithUs #SatyamevaJayate #JusticeForSushant," she wrote on the micro-blogging site.



The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Rhea Chakraborty on Friday (August 7) for questioning in connection with a money laundering probe related to SSR's case, a report in IANS said. Earlier in the day, the agency questioned Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda.
