Race 3 Box Office Collection Day 1: Salman Khan’s film becomes BIGGEST opener of 2018

New Delhi: Salman Khan’s much-awaited film 'Race 3', which hit the silver screens on June 15, has opened with a thunderous note at the box office. The Remo D’Souza directorial has minted Rs 29.17 crore on its very first day to start on things on a high note. The third installment of the popular Race franchise is off to a flying start and has performed as per the expectations of the trade pundits. The action thriller which also stars Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol and Daisy Shah has became the biggest opener of the year, beating Tiger Shroff-Disha Patani’s Baaghi 2. Bollywood trade analyst and critic Taran Adarsh shared Race 3’s first day box office collection on Twitter. He mentioned that the film produced by Salman Khan Films and Tips Films is expected to post massive numbers as the Eid festivities have commenced from Saturday. 'Race 3' has emerged as the biggest opener of 2018, beating the likes of 'Baaghi 2' and 'Padmaavat', which collected Rs 25.10 crore and Rs 19 crore respectively on the first day. Salman Khan has once again proved why he is called as the ‘King of Box Office’. All of his releases during Eid have done wonders and set the cash registers jingling. ReadAamir predicts ‘Race 3’ business with an adorable message to Salman  Three of Salman Khan’s films have crossed the magical of Rs 100 crore within the first three days and the opening numbers of 'Race 3' suggest, another film could join the coveted club. 'Race 3' has enough time to rake in big moolah as the next big release, Ranbir Kapoor’s 'Sanju', hits the cinema theatres on June 29, giving the masala entertainer a full two-week window.
