New Delhi: The box office performance of the Prabhas and Kriti Sanon-starring movie improved slightly during the course of the second weekend. On its second Sunday, the mythological drama managed to bring in about Rs 6 crore.

On its tenth day, 'Adipurush' earned an estimated Rs 6 crore net in India across all languages, according to a report on Sacnilk.com. With this, the domestic box office in all languages has now grossed around Rs 274.55 crore in its first ten days. The movie had a fantastic opening weekend, earning Rs 37 crore on June 16, and hauled in Rs 140 crore globally. Within its first weekend, it had already crossed the Rs 200 crore mark in India. However, since that Monday, it has been in a steep fall and has failed to add another Rs 100 crore in a week.

Meanwhile, 'Adipurush' has received harsh criticism for how it handles its characters, VFX, and language. Some of the dialogues were changed by the makers a few days after it was released in the wake of severe backlash.

The All India Cine Workers Association requested the filing of a case against the Adipurush producer, director, and writer in a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Mumbai Police on Saturday.

“Prabhu Shri Ram is God for everyone in India no matter what religious faith one comes from, this Movie Depicts lord Ram and even Ravan who looks like a Character of a video game, with dialogues hurting every Indian in the country and across the Globe. We request Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji order to stop screening this Movie and immediately order a Ban of Adipruush Screening in the Theatres and OTT platforms in the Future," the letter read.

In Om Raut's rendition of the Ramayana, Prabhas portrays Raghav, Kriti Sanon plays Janaki, Saif Ali Khan plays Lankesh, Sunny Singh is Lakshman, and Devdutta Nage is Bajrang. The movie came out in theatres on June 16.
