New Delhi: Luviena Lodh set several tongues wagging when she accused Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and his family of harassment and intimidation. The actress shared a video on social media in which she introduced herself as the wife of Mahesh Bhatt's nephew Sumit Sabherwal. In her video message, she alleged that the Bhatt family has been trying to evict her from her house since the time she filed a case against Sumit. She added that she made the video for the safety of her family.

Pooja Bhatt Denies Luviena Lodh's Claims, Here's Her Tweet


Mahesh Bhatt's Pooja Bhatt has denied Luviena Lodh's claims of being her father's relative. The 'Sadak' actress said that Lodh 'was married to Sumit Saberwal', who is not related to Mahesh Bhatt in 'any other way'. She added that Sumit is the senior production manager of Vishesh Films.

"Please note that the lady in question is not a ‘relative’ since the man she was married to-Sumit Sabherwal is not MR Bhatt’s nephew as mentioned, nor related to him in any other way. Sumit is a senior production manager/head of production at @VisheshFilms," Pooja tweeted.

Who Is Luviena Lodh? The Actress Who Accused Mahesh Bhatt Of Harassment


According to reports, Luviena made her Bollywood debut in 2010 with 'Kajrare'. The film was directed by Pooja Bhatt. Lodh has also worked in a couple of short films.

"I have filed a divorce case against my husband as I got to know that he supplies drugs to actors like Amyrya Dastur and Sapna Pabbi. He has pictures of several actresses in his phone, which he shows to different directors. Mahesh Bhatt is well aware of everything. He is the 'biggest don' in the industry. He operates the entire system in the industry. If you don't play by their rules, they wreak havoc in your life," Lodh said.

She further said, "If anything happens to me or my family, then the only people who will be responsible are Mahesh Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt, Sumit Sabherwal, Sahil Sehgal and Kumkum Sehgal."


Mahesh Bhatt's Lawyer Releases Statement And Refutes Lodh's Allegations


Mahesh Bhatt's legal team refuted Luviena Lodh's allegations and called them 'false' and 'defamatory'. The 'Sadak 2' director's team said that he will take legal action against Lodh.

"With reference to video released by one Lavina Lodhi. We, on behalf of our client Mahesh Bhatt, refute the allegations. Such allegations are not only false and defamatory but have serious consequences in law. Our client will take such action in accordance with law as advised," Mahesh's lawyer said in a statement.
