New Delhi: The Narcotics Control Bureau summoned both Deepika Padukone and her manager, Karishma Prakash last month after their alleged drug chats from 2017 came to the limelight. After her interrogation with the agency, the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actress resumed her working schedule for her upcoming movie with Shakun Batra. According to ANI, Karishma Prakash has been summoned again for investigation by the NCB tomorrow.

Sameer Wankhede, Zonal Director, NCB Mumbai was quoted saying by ANI, “Karishma Prakash (Deepika Padukone's manager) has been summoned for investigation tomorrow”



Also, based on a report of Indian Express, earlier today, the NCB has raided Karishma’s Versova residence and recovered 1.7 grams of charas and at least 2 bottles of CBD oil. Prakash has earlier been interrogated by the NCB in connection with FIR registered in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

An NCB official told the publication, “Prakash’s name cropped up during the questioning of one of the paddlers arrested by us in the case in which we are looking to bust drug networks around Bollywood, Based on the information, we raided her residence today. We found 1.7 grams of charas and at least two bottles of CBD oil.”

The official further revealed that Karishma was not present at her residence while the raid was carried out and also informed that it happened in presence of her acquaintances. He added, “We have called her for questioning tomorrow to NCB, however, her phone has been switched off and we do not know where she is.”

Adding that Deepika’s manager Karishma has violated sections of the NDPS Act, the official revealed that there is nothing which is linking the ‘Finding Fanny’ actress to the case.
