‘’My baby looked like a princess’’- Madhu Chopra on Priyanka-Nick's wedding!

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding was nothing short of a dreamy affair. The two lovebirds tied the knot at Umaid Bhawan Palace on December 1 and 2 following Christian and Indian rituals respectively. PeeCee and the ‘Right Now’ singer shared pictures from their grand wedding and they have already gone viral on the internet. Indian mothers usually get emotional seeing their daughters get married and same was the case with Priyanka’s mom Madhu Chopra. Madhu, while talking to a leading daily, said that she got emotional and broke down into tears when she saw Priyanka dressed as a bride. “It was an emotional moment for everyone. I broke into tears when I saw Priyanka dressed as a bride. I had waited for this day all my life,” Madhu told DNA. She also said that she was always wanted to have a proper Indian wedding for Priyanka. “We followed all the rituals to the T. There were no shortcuts. I wanted an Indian shaadi for her and Priyanka knew that. She fulfilled my wish. It’s lovely to see the amount of love people have for her and Nick,” Madhu further told the daily. Madhu walked Priyanka down the aisle for her Christian wedding and she said that the ‘Quantico’ actress looked like a princess. Our ‘Desi girl’ wore a Ralph Lauren bridal gown for the Catholic ceremony and it was her 75-feet veil which became the talk of the town. “I was at a loss of words. When I saw Priyanka, I couldn’t control my emotions. The white gown was so beautiful. My baby looked like a princess,” the doting mother told the daily. According to Madhu, her daughter looked her ‘prettiest best’ in the wedding outfit. (Priyanka and Nick) Madhu also opened up about the sangeet ceremony which saw performances from both bride and groom’s side. “It was lovely. Sab dance kar rahe the sangeet pe and everyone was enjoying themselves. The entire atmosphere was vibrant and energetic,” the doctor-turned film producer told the daily. Priyanka and Nick hosted a wedding reception in Delhi on December 4 which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
