Mukesh Chhabra To Take Legal Action Against Rhea Chakraborty For Naming Him In Drug Cartel; Says ‘She Is Taking Her Revenge On Me’

New Delhi: After the drug angle emerged in the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput, the NCB has arrested Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, Dipesh Sawant and a number of drug peddlers till now. The death case is now being investigated by three Central agencies – CBI, ED and NCB. Recently, based on a claim by a news channel, Rhea Chakraborty has named Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Mukesh Chhabra, Simone Khambatta in the alleged drug cartel. Mukesh Chhabra reacted to Rhea’s claim of him consuming drugs and said that she is taking her revenge on him. The director further claimed that the actress is naming anyone randomly. While interacting with Bollywood Hungama, the director of Sushant’s last movie ‘Dil Bechara’ said, “She is just naming any and every one randomly. Maybe she thinks it will help her case. But this is not fair. I’ve nothing to do with drugs of any kind. I don’t even smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol, so where’s the question of consuming hard drugs?” “She’s taking revenge on me for not speaking up in my defence. I have kept quiet. I decided that is the best way to let the current furore die down. But now by naming me (for consuming drugs) Rhea has seriously compromised my name. I need to clear my reputation”, added Chhabra. The director further said that he is definitely going to take legal action against the ‘Jalebi’ actress. He told the same portal, “We are definitely taking legal action against Rhea. We’re now looking at what remedial legal action is most appropriate. But I’d sincerely advise Rhea to not throw around names to deflect attention from herself. It won’t help her. I can’t speak for others. But my name has been dragged into this purely with malicious intent.” Mukesh Chhabra is not only the director of Sushant Singh Rajput’s last movie ‘Dil Bechara’, but also a very good friend of the late actor. ‘Dil Bechara’ also marked his directorial debut.
