Mithun Chakraborty's Wife Yogeeta Bali And Son Mahaakshay Booked In Rape Case

New Delhi: Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty’s wife Yogeeta Bali and son Mahaakshay aka Mimoh has been accused of rape, cheating and forced abortion by a model. The FIR has been registered at Oshiwara Police Station by a 38-year old woman on Thursday night. The victim has reportedly stated in her written complaint revealed that she was in a relationship with Mahaakshay Chakraborty from 2015 to 2018 and the latter had promised marriage to her which he never fulfilled. The woman also alleged that Mimoh once drugged her with a soft drink and forced himself on her without her consent. An official told PTI, “The complainant said she was in a relationship with Mahaakshay Chakraborty from 2015 to 2018 and during that period he had promised to marry her.” The official further added, “The woman said that during their relationship, she had gone to see Mahaakshay's flat at Adarsh Nagar in Andheri West, which he had purchased in 2015. She said when she went there, the accused offered her a spiked soft drink and forced her to have physical relations with him.” The report further stated that when the woman became pregnant, Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mahaakshay asked her to abort the baby and gave her pills. The official added, “The woman said she used to ask Mahaakshay about their marriage. But in January 2018, he told her that he cannot marry her, which led to an altercation between them. She said when she called him, his mother Yogita Bali threatened her.” The woman later went to Delhi with her brother to stay with their family friend and even filed a complaint against Mimoh and his mother Yogeeta Bali at Begumpur Police station in June 2018. The official further went on to add, “The police had registered an offence under section 376 (rape), 313 (causing miscarriage without woman's consent) and others, and the probe was transferred to the crime branch there. A Delhi court later granted anticipatory bail to Mahaakshay and his mother in the case.” “In March 2020, the Delhi High Court had asked the woman to file her complaint in the court, where the offence had taken place. Following that, she filed a complaint at Oshiwara police station in July this year”, said the official in his statement. Adding that the probe is on, the official told PTI, “Accordingly, an offence under IPC sections 376 (rape), 376 (2) (n) (repeated rape), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison), 417 (cheating), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention) has been registered against the accused.”

Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mimoh has been married to TV actress Madalsa Sharma for 2 years now and the actress is currently seen portraying the character of ‘Kavya Gandhi’ in Star Plus’ popular show ‘Anupamaa’. Speaking to SpotboyE, Madalsa Sharma revealed that she is unaware of any such complaint till now. She was quoted saying by the portal, “Case has been registered for what? It's not true at all.” She added when informed that it is by the same girl who had filed a case against her husband Mimoh and mother-in-law Yogeeta Bali accusing them of rape and threatening respectively, she said that these are old stories. Madalsa said, “These are old stories. It all happened 3 years back and that has been shut and done with. We are not aware about any such complaint till now.”
