Migrants' Messiah Sonu Sood Launches Pravasi Rojgar App To Help Find Job Amid Covid-19 Crisis

Pravasi Rojgar App will have the names of more than 500 reputed companies, in which employment opportunities will be available for the migrant labourers.

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who took up the responsibility of transporting migrant labourers across the country to their homes via buses, trains and airplanes, has now taken a new initiative of helping the workers find suitable job amid the Coronavirus pandemic. In case the job requires some special type of skills, then training will also be given to the migrant labourers. Speaking of this initiative, Sonu Sood told ABP News, "For the past several months, efforts were being made to design a portal which could help migrant workers find a suitable job amid this pandemic. It has been prepared with a lot of hard work. I hope that it will benefit millions of migrant labourers who lost their jobs due to the Coronavirus-induced lockdown." The 'R Rajkumar' star further said that when they were trying to get the stranded migrant labourers back to their homes, most of them were worried about losing their employment. "Therefore, we took the initiative to start such website," he added. Areas where jobs opportunities will be available include construction, ready-made garments, healthcare, engineering, BPO, security, automobile, e-commerce, logistics, and more. Besides option of job hunting, the portal will also help the workers get trained in various skills such as speaking English.
