Manoj Muntashir slams Sky Force makers
The controversy unfolded after Jio Studios shared a teaser of Maaye on their official X account. The song, performed by B Praak with music by Tanishk Bagchi, was promoted as “The Anthem of Heroes,” paying tribute to soldiers who defend the nation. While the teaser credited the singer and composer, it failed to mention Manoj as the lyricist. However, the caption tagged him, leaving his name conspicuously absent from the teaser’s credits.
The post read, “Maaye - An ode to the bravehearts who gave it all to defend their motherland. Presenting #Maaye, The Anthem of Heroes, out tomorrow. #SkyForce releasing in cinemas this Republic Week, on 24th January 2025.”
Reacting sharply, Manoj tweeted, “Please note @jiostudios, @MaddockFilms, @saregamaglobal. This song is not just sung and composed but also written by someone who has given all his blood and sweat to it.”
He further added, “Removing a writer’s name from the opening credits shows utter disrespect for the craft and fraternity by the makers. If it’s not corrected immediately, including the main song releasing tomorrow, I am going to disown the song and make sure my voice is heard by the law of the land. Shame. @IPRSmusic.”
Please note @jiostudios , @MaddockFilms @saregamaglobal , This song is not just sung and composed but also written by someone who has given all his blood and sweat to it.
