Mahesh Bhatt’s Sister And Nephew Seek Injunction Against Actress Luviena Lodh

Luviena Lodh claimed that her husband Sumit Sabharwal is the nephew of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt.

New Delhi: Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has been labelled with some serious allegations in a video shared by actress Luviena Lodh. Along with the director, Luviena has also claimed that her husband Sumit Sabharwal supplies drugs to actors. In the video, she tagged Mahesh Bhatt as the ‘biggest don in the film industry’ and disclosed that the director is threatening her. She added that she made the video for the safety of her family.

Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter Pooja Bhatt took to her social media post this and revealed that Sumit Sabharwal is not Bhatt’s nephew and is the senior production head at Vishesh Films. Recently, Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt filed a defamation suit against Luviena Lodh in Bombay High Court claiming that Sumit Sabharwal is only an employee in their production company Vishesh Films for over 20 years. Sumit has also identified himself as an employee to the Bhatt’s and not a relative. Now, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the ‘Sadak 2’ director’s sister Kumkum Saigal and nephew Sahil Saigal has ‘moved the Bombay High Court seeking a permanent injunction against Luviena Lodh from making defamatory statements against them’. They also seek a written apology and Rs 90 lakhs in damage. Lodh’s lawyer told the publication that ‘the court has granted them time until next week to file a reply in the matter, without granting interim relief sought by the plaintiffs’. The lawyer further added that they will seek to transfer the case to the Dindoshi Civil Court.
