Alia Bhatt's father, whose name has cropped quite a few times in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case due to his connections with late actor's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, has now been accused of pretending to be sick in order to skip the CBI probe.

However shutting the speaking mouths, filmmaker's family has confirmed that Mahesh Bhatt is doing absolutely fine and hasn’t been hospitalised.

"People spreading false information is uncalled for. He is doing fine and hasn’t been rushed anywhere. He is hale and hearty. People need to be careful about what they write. There’s too much viciousness on social media. No one wants to check facts before spreading gossip," a source aware of the development said, as quoted by Bombay Times.

It can be recalled that several revelations have been made recently over the connections between the director-producer Mahesh Bhatt and Rhea Chakraborty.  In a report earlier this month, the call records of the 'Jalebi' actress were revealed which showed that the late actor's girlfriend spoke to Sushant 137 times while she dialed filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt 16 times.
