Karan Johar Welcomes Mike Tyson To Vijay Deverakonda-Ananya Panday’s ‘Liger’

Karan Johar announced that the popular American professional boxer, who is known by his nickname - ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ - will make his Bollywood debut with Vijay Deverakonda's ‘Liger’.

New Delhi: Popular South Indian actor Vijay Deverakonda is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Dharma Productions’ ‘Liger’. Well, in the latest announcement made by the team of ‘Liger’, this movie will not only mark Vijay’s entry into Bollywood but also will mark the debut of boxing legend Mike Tyson.

Karan Johar took to his Twitter and announced that the popular American professional boxer, who is known by his nickname - ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ - will make his Bollywood debut with ‘Liger’. KJo tweeted, “For the first time ever, the king of the ring will be seen on the big screens of Indian cinema! Welcoming @MikeTyson to the #LIGER team! #NamasteTyson”.

Sharing the announcement on his Instagram, Vijay Deverakonda wrote, “We promised you Madness! We are just getting started For the first time on Indian Screens. Joining our mass spectacle – LIGER The Baddest Man on the Planet The God of Boxing The Legend, the Beast, the Greatest of all Time! IRON MIKE TYSON”.

This sports action film starring Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role will feature Ananya Panday in the female lead. Written and directed by Puri Jagannadh, ‘Liger’ will be released in Hindi and Telugu.

While Vijay has not yet announced any other upcoming project, his co-star Ananya Panday has Shakun Batra’s untitled film in her kitty alongside ‘Liger’. She will be seen sharing the screen space with Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi in this upcoming Shakun Batra film.
